Saturday, and another foggy day in Lofoten. yet again I wanted to to a pre-breakfast hike, and again it had to be a low one to stay below the fog. I had already looked at Offers°ykammen on several occasions, from several angles, and it looked like an interesting candidate.
I left our hotel in Leknes before 06:30, and at 06:50 I started my hike. While driving across to Offers°ya I had seen that the fog was just touching the summit of Offers°ykammen, so I had some hopes that I might catch a lucky moment with a fog-free summit when I was at the top. And it almost worked out well; there was fog from 20 metres below the summit when I got to the top, but this fog was not very thick. This at least allowed me to get some OK-ish photos taken, but all the higher mountains in the area were of course covered in thick fog.
After signing the registration book I headed back down, completing the hike in a little more than 40 minutes.
