From the car park walk 20-30 metres back along the road and find the signed path going up the steep slope. This path is steep and can be a little slippery in places so some care should be shown in the steep terrain. Turn left where signed for Skagetåa when you get close to the lake Lemevatnet. Follow this path, which is marked by wooden poles with red paint, all the way to the summit. You will find a sign and a registration book up here.
Descend by reversing your ascent route.

I had already hiked Barmen this nice Wednesday afternoon and Skaget was now on the agenda. The path in the lower section was a bit steeper than I had anticipated, and some care was required because of wet and slippery mud in a couple of places. But all in all a fine hike to a nice view point.
Back at the car I drove to Runde in order to hike Rundabranden.
