Description |
Beacon Ring is a hill located far east in Wales, close to the English border. The whole summit area is covered by a small forest, where the letters 'E II R' have been "written" by planting trees with different shades of green colour. These trees were planted in 1953 to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth 2nd, and can be very clearly read from the air. |
