There are uncertainties regarding this height. Most maps quote Loser's height to be 1837/1838m, but this seems to be for the point where the summit cross is located. Personal observations and GPS measurements indicate that the highest point of Loser is located 200 metres north of the cross, and is 3 metres higher than the top with the cross.

Approx. point 33 T 409251 5280853 - located to the north-east, on the south-west slopes of Bräuningzinken.
Loser appears very impressive when viewed from west, with its white steep walls, but it really is only a small hill at the west end of a greater massif. However, the location at the outskirts of a massif means the views in most directions a re very nice, including a fine overview of the Dachstein mountains.
