Description

Mulhacen is the highest mountain in mainland Spain, and is the highest mountain in the Sierra Nevada range. It is also the highest European mountain outside the Alps and the Caucasus mountains.
Its location close to the Spanish south coast (Costa del Sol) and the Mediterranean Sea gives interesting contrasts in climate in a relatively short distance.
