The maps are a little confusing when it comes to the height of Storhaugen. Økonomisk Kartverk reports the height where the northern cairn is located to be 769m, and the central point of the summit plateau to be 768m. Observations clearly indicates that point 768 on the maps is the highest point. Hence these pages assumes the height of Storhaugen to be 768 metres.

Storhaugen is a coastal
hill located on the west side of Tomrefjorden and on the south side of
Romsdalsfjorden.
The summit views are very nice, including a fine panoramic view towards
the Sunnmøre alps.
