Of the several mountains
called -skorka in the Vestnes/Ørskog area there is only one with a name
indicating it is a large/big mountain; Storskorka. This is rather
confusing since this is by far the lowest of the -skorka tops, and 300
metres lower than the relatively low Litleskorka. The only possible
explanation to this confusion must be the fact that from Øvstedalen
Storskorka has a much more dominating appearance than the others, with
its location right in your face.
The views from Storskorka are restricted by higher mountains all around,
but can still be considered nice since you get an very fine view of the
neighbours.
