Varden is located south-west of Tomrefjorden's south end, and is easily accessible thanks to the fine mountain road that runs up to Tomrereset. The mountain is surrounded by a number of higher neighbours, blocking a lot of the view, but at the other hand you get glose up views of mountains like Frostadtinden, Storhaugen and Trolltinden.
