From the round about on road 15 by Vågåmo drive north towards Vågåmo centre. Then follow signs for "Blåhøe". A couple of km uphill on the road to Blåhøe you get to a gate where you need to pay. Pay the fee (NOK 50 per 2011) and drive 4.1 km to the south-west end of lake Jettjørni (make sure you fork left 3.9 km after the gate, i.e. don't follow signs for "Vole"). You can park your car just before the lake, on the left hand side of the road.
Climb Blåhøe by following the mountain service road all the way to the summit. The highest point is probably the point where the large cairn is located, on the left hand side as you enter the summit plateau.
Descend by reversing your ascent route.
I had spent the night in my car by lake Jettjørni, with the intention to hike Blåhøe from here the following morning. But when I woke up this Sunday morning it was pouring down and the visibility was down to tens of metres. Hence I decided to lay down for another hour or so, but apart from a reduction in the rain the weather was the same. And yet an hour later no change. Hence I decided to drive to the summit, which of course is terribly unsporting, but I didn't see much point walking for hours along a mountain road without seeing anything. In particular since I had my share of physical activity the day before, hiking both Muldsvorhornet and Glitregga.
At the summit I didn't see much more than the large summit cairn, and neither
did I really care. This mountain deserved to be climbed on a nice day since it
offers superb views of both Rondane and Jotunheimen mountains. I'll be back!
