Assume you drive road E6 south towards the Swedish border. Just before the border exit right in junction 1, signed for "Sponvika". Turn right when you get to the bridge across E6, and then turn left a little later, where signed for "Svinesundhagen". Drive 900 metres along this road (mostly gravel road) and follow the road around the bend under road E6. Continue to the T-junction 100 metres after you pass under E6. Park here, or find parking nearby.

Start walking by following the forest road up to the left as seen when approaching the T-junction. After a little less than 300 metres the forest road is blocked by a large stack of wood, but there is a rougher forest road bypassing on the left hand side. After the stack of wood notice an old forest road forking slightly right, going uphill. Follow this road up to the power line and turn right when you get to the power line. Follow the power line almost to its highest point, and then turn left into the forest. Proceed north-east approximately 100 metres and you will find the summit. At the summit there are some old wooden planks on the ground, and you are offered a fairly nice view towards east.

Descend by reversing your ascent route.

13. July 2011

Wednesday and an easy hike to a top close to Sarpsborg with primary factor >100 metres. The route to the top was a little cumbersome and required some scrambling, but on a beautiful day I was happy with whatever I was offered.

After the hike I stopped at the fruit sales close to the trail head and bought some pure apple juice and strawberries.
