From road E136 in Sjøholt drive south towards Stordal for 7.4 km. Then turn left towards "Vaksvikfjellet" and drive 4.0 km until you have a big car park / caravan place on your right. Find parking here (cost is NOK30 per day, as of winter 2008).
Put on skis at the other side of the road and start skiing northbound on the mountain/forest road going towards Sollisætra. Pass next to the big power mast and continue north until you get into the Kvanndalen valley, where you gradually turn north-east, aiming for the summit of Høgsvora. This is likely to be the best way to get to the foot of Geitenibba, since there is a fair chance that someone has already broken trail towards Høgsvora. When you are east/south-east of the Geitenibba summit cross the Kvanndalen valley to the foot of Geitenibba and find suitable place to start ascending. The slope of Geitenibba is relatively steep here, but by zigzagging upwards the ascent doesn't cause any problems. Soon you will find yourself on the south ridge of Geitenibba, and the ascent to the summit is straight forward.
The descent is best done by staying on the south ridge, and gradually loosing height around the saddle between Geitenibba and Sætrefjellet. This will allow you to have continuous downhill all the way back to the car.
After the previous day's visit to Høgsvora I felt like coming back to the same area while the snow conditions were still good. This day was yet another superb day, with blue sky and very little wind. And the snow was still almost perfect powder.
Elisabeth and I followed the track leading up to the foot of Høgsvora since none had broken trail towards Geitenibba. A little south-east of Geitenibba we crossed the Kvanndalen valley and started the climb towards Geitenibba. Having to break trail up the steep side meant hard work for a few minutes, but soon we were on the flatter south ridge, and had a nice walk up to the summit.
In order to avoid any uphill skiing to get back to the car we decided to stay on the Geitenibba south ridge until it started to climb back up towards Sætrefjellet. From here we gradually lost height in the east side of Sætrefjellet, and then back on to the trail we had used for out ascent.
