From the junction between roads 61 and 654 on the island Gurskøya, approximately 18.7 km south on road 61 from the ferry port at Hareid:
- Drive 7.1 km south, in the direction of Larsnes, on road 61.
- Turn left where signed for "Skytebane" and drive a couple of hundred metres towards the go-cart track. Park before a gate.
Start your walk by heading for the far corner of the go-cart track. Locate a path heading up into the gully and follow this path all the way up to the summit, which is marked by a nice cairn. There is also some telecomm installation a little below the summit.
Descend by reversing your ascent route.
My second hike this Saturday, and Arnt also joined me despite his original plan to only join Rjåhornet. This was a quick hit-and-run hike, with just a short summit stop.
After the hike we picked up Arnt's car by the Rjåhornet trail head, before heading to the local store for some light food. Then onwards to Remøya for another short hike.
