Drive road 7 to Gol and exit onto road 52 towards Hemsedal. Stay on road 52 and drive through Hemsedal village centre. A little north of Hemsedal exit right where signed for "Grøndalen". Drive 5.0 km along this road and turn right where signed for "Harahorn". Follow this gravel road uphill, and pay toll (NOK 40 per 2009) after 3.4 km. Drive another 900 metres and you get to a road fork. Park on the left hand side of the left road. Note that it is possible to drive another 300 metres to where the path starts, but you are not allowed to park at this car park.
From the car walk 300 metres along the upper/right road until you get to a sign that points to Harahorn. From here there is a marked route all the way to Harahorn. The route is marked with blue paint.
The descent is best done by reversing the ascent route.
This was the second day at Håvard's cabin above Nesbyen, and the weather was pretty promising. We therefore decided to drive to Hemsedal, and after intensive studies of the maps we ended up with Harahorn as the goal of the day.
During our hike we met a lot of people, and at the summit there were in total 14 other persons while we were there, so it's pretty obvious that this is a popular mountain to visit. Which is quite understandable given that the hike is easy and the views from the summit are very nice.
