Drive road E39 approximately 59 km east from Molde, to where roads E39 and 70 intersect on the main land east of the island Aspøya. Drive E39 2.8 km north on E39 and turn left where signed for "Aspøya". Drive 0.9 km and turn left towards "Ulset" and then another 0.3 km to a fairly large farm. Park around the start of the farm road.
Start your hike by walking up to the farm and turn right onto a forest road amongst the farm buildings. Walk 230 metres and leave the forest road towards left, and walk off-path up across the field. Make sure you stay right of the brown cabin and aim for an opening in the fence, where a forest road starts. Follow this forest road 340 metres and head left up to the unmarked summit as the forest road skirts around the summit on the right (east) side.
Descend by reversing your ascent route.
After having hiked Nonshaugen Elisabeth and I drove 500 metres back along the road and found parking at the start of the farm road. From here it was a pretty straight forward walk along a forest road almost all the way up to the summit. The summit views were close to zero so we soon headed back down to the car and the drive to Kanestraum for the ferry across to Halsa.
