From the junction between roads 61 and 654 on the island Gurskøya, approximately 18.7 km south on road 61 from the ferry port at Hareid:
- Drive 6.0 km and turn right towards Fosnavåg.
- Drive 5.0 km and turn left towards Fosnavåg.
- Drive 300 metres and park on the left hand side of the road.
Start your walk by crossing the road and walk 70 metres to the left (towards Fosnavåg). Enter a gate a follow a path 160 metres up to a gravel road. Turn right when you get to the gravel road and follow it 300 metres uphill, to just before some large water tanks. Turn right onto a path, through a wooden gate, and then follow the path north and then north-east up to a cairn. From here continue 150 metres north, and then a few metres west to the summit, which is marked by a trigonometric point marker located on the ground.
Descend by reversing your ascent route.
Hike #4 this Saturday, and Arnt's last hike together with me. Another easy one, and another enjoyable walk in good company. Next on the agenda was Rauddalshornet.
