Start measuring from the exit to Nes at Stette (between Digerneset and Tennfjord, from road 661) and drive 1.4 km in the direction of Nes. Park on the right hand side of the road.
You can follow an old forest road a little downhill, towards south, and then it's a question about finding the best route uphill without going west.
From Nihusen descend on the paths and forest roads down towards Grindvika (or somewhere else if you have a car parked somewhere else).
Odd Arne invited me to an evening hike to Nihusen, from north. Arnfred also joined us, and after an hour of semi-struggle (for me) through snowy and steep terrain we made it to the summit. From here we continued down to Grindvika where a friend of Odd Arne drove us back to Nes.
