From the east side of the market square in the town Castellane, approximately 65 km west/north-west of Nice as the crow flies, walk north-east on the left hand side of the church. Here you will find signs for "Roc du Chapelle". Follow the path all the way to the summit, where the chapel is located.
Descend by reversing your ascent route.
We were due to drive back to Nice this morning, and then fly home to Norway, so
there was no time for a proper hike. However, there was sufficient time for a
hike up to the distinct pinnacle where the chapel is located. I set out at
07:30, on a cold but very nice morning and reached the summit after a little
more than 15 minutes of easy walking. At the summit I enjoyed the fine views of
the town below me, before heading back down for breakfast and a day of
travelling.
