- Drive 2.2 km to Vatne centre. Don't turn left onto road 661 but continue another 220 metres slightly uphill.
- Turn left onto the road Ulvestadvegen and then turn right onto Trøavegen after 520 metres.
- Drive Trøavegen 215 metres and turn left onto Gjerdet.
- Drive 610 metres along Gjerdet and park at the top of the road, just before a gate.
Start your hike by following the gravel road 1.1 km up to a left bend at 260m. Continue straight ahead on a path and re-join the gravel road at 280m. Turn right and continue a few tens of metres to where the gravel road gets considerably rougher. Follow this rougher gravel road 800 metres up to 375m, and turn right onto a path. Follow this path all the way to the summit, where you will find a summit registration book.
Descend by reversing your ascent route.
