Assume your starting point is Around Vågen and the Fish-market in Bergen centre. Walk road 585 north and turn right onto Vetrlidsallmenningen, and walk up to the Fløibanen (funicular) building. From here either get the train up to Fløyen or follow Fløysvingene and signs for Fløyen. At Fløyen turn left and from here follow signs for "Rundemanen" all the way to close to the summit. The summit is unmarked, but there's a huge mast five metres north of the highest point.
Descend by reversing your ascent route.
We had been invited to Morten's 50th in Bergen this Saturday evening, and with a full day to spare we decided to visit Rundemanen. Tore wanted to join us up to Fløyen, through getting a lift from the funicular, so we got a little more then 300 vertical metres for "free". After having enjoyed the excellent views from Fløyen Elisabeth and I continued on foot, while Tore descended with the aid of the funicular.
When we got up to about 500 metres we got into dense mist, and the surface was covered by 1-2 cm of ice/snow. The mist spoiled all potential views so our summit stop was just long enough for a couple of photos and a drink of water.
We decided to walk all the way back to the city centre, and probably met more than 100 other walkers. Back in the city we had lunch before getting prepared for an enjoyable evening in the old military mansion in Gravdal.
