Drive road 569 to Skjelten and take the ferry across to Austnes at Haramsøya. From Austnes drive 9.6 km towards Rogne. At the T-junction after having crossed the bridge/pier between Haramsøya and Flemsøya, turn right and then turn left after 1.0 km, and turn left again 100 metres later. Drive another 500 metres uphill until you see a small car park on your left hand side. Park here.
Start walking by following the mountain road as it zigzags through the forest. When you get out of the forest and see a flat stretch ahead of you, you will see a signed path for "Skulen" to your right. Follow this path all the way to the summit.
I had a meeting at Longva this Monday, and had packed my hiking gear before heading from home. Straight after the meeting I drove to Indreflem, got changed behind the car, and headed uphill. The weather was pretty nice, although a bit cloudy. After having taken my photos at the summit I ran all the way back down to the car; after all I had a plan to also visit Mannen before catching the ferry back to the main land.
