The most commonly used route to Vaalserberg is by car. From the Dutch town of Vaals you can drive to the summit. There is a small tower on the Belgian side of the border, giving OK views to the three countries surrounding the summit.
During the autumn of 2006 I was travelling to Holland to work most weeks, together with a number of colleagues. This Thursday Ansgar, Helen, Ingunn and me decided to pay a visit to the highest point in Holland, and we drove from Barneveld in Holland around 16:00. There was a lot of traffic on the roads so we didn't get to Vaalserberg before it was dark.
After having paid a visit to the view tower at Vaalserberg we drove down to Vaals and had our dinner in a charming small restaurant. Then back to Amersfoort and our hotel, where we arrived around 1am.
