From Bristol drive approximately 28 km (17.4 mi) west on road M4, from the M4/M5 junction, to junction 24. Exit onto road A48, in the direction of Chepstow, and drive 5.3 km (3.3 mi). Turn left and drive through the village Parc-Seymour, and continue uphill in total 3.5 km (2.1 mi) from A48. Park on the left hand side of the road.

Start your hike by following the forest road towards south-west, and make sure you fork left when to road forks after a few metres. Follow the forest road 340 metres, turn left and head off-path 50 metres to the concrete summit cairn.

Descend by reversing your ascent route.

15. December 2014

Another post-work hike for colleague Trond and me, straight from work in Bristol. We messed around a little when trying to find the trail head, and we ended up driving to within 400 metres of the summit. This gave us a much shorter walk than planned, and having spent more than two hours in the car we concluded that the drive/hike ratio was a bit higher than what really made sense ...
